This is the best soul food restaurant in the area no one else even comes closeThe peach cobbler is to die for and the fish is out of this world

Not bad. I'll order something different next time though.
I had the turkey leg, broccoli casserole, cabbage, cornbread and a slice of strawberry cake. The plates come with a meat & 3 sides or you can substitute out a side for a dessert or drink. The turkey leg was baked and seasoned well. The temperature of the food was spot on. You didn't have to wait to eat it. (Except for the cornbread. It was cold and dry)
Not sure how long they've been in this building, but it's time to either expand or find a larger location. The parking spots are tight and it doesn't seem many people dine in with them.
I'll probably try the fried chicken (my wife said it was good) next time. Adding beans to the menu could work too (Lima, butter or black eyed peas) -

Was recommended by friend to check it out. Had the fried fish, cabbage, Mac n cheese, meatloaf, green beans, you know the basics. Really just comfort food plain and simple. Price was more than fair and everyone was very friendly. Even at 2:30 there was a steady flow of folks in and out, probably 50/50 for people taking food to go and those eating in. Only wish I had been able to try the peach cobbler. Must be good if they ran out of it! Give Grandmas a try you won't be disappointed. Peace.

I was not happy with the food nor was my mother. My 88 year old mother don't need bones in her fish. Sorry to say it was my last time to eat there.

We stopped into Grandma's Kitchen for dinner on a road trip after being in the car all day. Pulling in just a few minutes before closing we were hopeful they'd still let us order. Not only did they let us order, but they also made us feel right at home, treating us like family! The food was delicious & home cooked, the service was very friendly & the whole environment was a breath of fresh air. Grandma even care out to say hello to us! We can't wait to make our way back to this lovely place!
